Plymoth Wall-Flex Cartridge Filter
Recirculate cleaner air straight back into your workshop with the Plymoth Wall-Flex — a wall-mounted, self-contained filtration unit that pairs with Flexi extraction arms to capture and filter welding fume and light grinding dust at up to 99.9% efficiency. Because filtered air goes straight back into the room rather than outside, there's no heat loss — a genuine advantage for heated or air-conditioned workshops running extraction through the colder months.
Why it matters
Ducting fume outdoors isn't always practical, especially in conditioned workspaces where losing heated or cooled air through an exhaust run adds real running cost. The Wall-Flex solves that by filtering and recirculating in place, giving you effective local exhaust ventilation without the energy penalty. Maintaining that filtration performance matters as Australia's welding fume exposure limits tighten under the WES-to-WEL transition, effective 1 December 2026 — a well-maintained cartridge filter is central to keeping recirculated air genuinely clean.
Key features
- Two-stage filtration — up to 99.9% efficiency on welding fume and lighter grinding dust
- No heat loss — filtered air recirculates into the workshop rather than exhausting outside
- Maintenance-free, replaceable cartridge — access is straightforward, and changing the cartridge takes just a couple of minutes
- Large filtration surface area — 14m² cartridge for strong dust-holding capacity between changes
- Optional activated carbon filtration — available for gas filtration, requires the carbon filter holder (P-085) and carbon cartridges (P-107)
- Strong wall bracket included — fan mounts on top, Flexi extraction arm mounts on the bottom of the filter box
- Central system compatible — can also be connected to a central extraction system if required

FAQ
Does this come with a fan and extraction arm?
No — the filter box is the core unit. You'll need to select a compatible fan (P-013 or P-015 depending on phase) and a Flexi extraction arm (1.5m, 2m, or 3m) to complete the system.
How often does the cartridge need replacing?
It depends on duty cycle and fume load, but the cartridge is designed for easy, tool-free access — a replacement typically takes just a couple of minutes once it's due.
Can this filter gases as well as particulate?
Not by default — the standard cartridge handles welding fume and light dust. For gas filtration, an optional activated carbon filter (P-107) is available, but it requires the separate carbon filter holder (P-085).
Is recirculated air actually safe to breathe back in?
At up to 99.9% filtration efficiency on welding fume and dust, the Wall-Flex is designed for safe recirculation — but if your process involves gases the standard cartridge doesn't capture, the optional carbon filter addresses that gap.
