by Hyundai
Part No: EHY31632
The Hyundai Electrode 316L S/S Marine Grade 3.2mm (Hyundai S-316L.16N Stainless Steel Electrode) is a premium-grade electrode designed specifically for welding low-carbon 18% Cr-12% Ni-2% Mo 316L stainless steel. This electrode ensures robust weld integrity, high corrosion resistance, and excellent mechanical performance, making it ideal for marine and industrial applications.
Key Features & Benefits
- Superior Usability and Weldability: The S-316L.16N electrode is a lime-titania type electrode known for smooth weldability and user-friendly operation.
- Austenitic Structure with Ferrite: The all-weld metal possesses an austenitic structure with ferrite for enhanced crack resistance, increasing durability and reliability in demanding environments.
- Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The low carbon content and Mo content enhance resistance to intergranular and inter-crystalline corrosion in as-welded conditions, outperforming S-316.16N.
- High Heat Resistance: The Mo addition also improves heat resistance, ensuring the electrode withstands high temperatures without compromising strength or integrity.
Usage Instructions
To maximize performance:
- Weaving Width: Limit weaving to two and a half times the electrode’s diameter.
- Preparation: Clean all oil and dust from the groove before welding.
- Drying: Preheat the electrodes at 350°C (662°F) for 60 minutes before use.
