The Fronius TPS 500i sits at the top of the TPS/i platform below the 600i, delivering up to 500A of fully digitised, microprocessor-controlled output for heavy fabrication and high-duty-cycle industrial production. Like the rest of the full-size TPS/i range, it runs with a separate wire feeder rather than a built-in unit, giving workshops the flexibility to configure and position the system to suit demanding production layouts.
As with other TPS/i base units, the TPS 500i requires a Weld Process to be added before it's ready to weld, with MIG Standard Synergic and MIG Pulse Synergic both available as options depending on the process mix required. It's available in both gas-cooled and water-cooled configurations to match cooling capacity to duty cycle and application.

Gas-Cooled & Water-Cooled Options Available
The TPS 500i is available in both gas-cooled and water-cooled configurations. Water cooling is the better fit for high duty-cycle production, thicker material sections and extended continuous welds, where a gas-cooled torch would otherwise be limited by heat build-up.
