CIGWELD OK NiFe-CI-A (ENiFe-CI-A) Hardfacing Electrode
Superior Nickel-Iron Electrode for Tough Cast Iron Repair & Joining
The OK NiFe-CI-A is a nickel-iron cored SMAW electrode engineered for welding and repairing normal grades of cast iron—including grey, ductile, and malleable types—as well as for securely joining cast iron to steel. It features a specially designed iron-jacketed nickel core that dramatically enhances current carrying capacity over homogeneous nickel rods. The result is a weld deposit stronger and far more resistant to solidification cracking than traditional pure nickel electrodes.
Key Benefits
-
Versatile cast iron repair
Ideal for on-the-fly fixes to pump bodies, heavy machinery, gear teeth, flanges, pulleys, and more. Compatible with cold or slightly preheated cast iron substrates. -
Superior weld strength
Provides robust welds that resist solidification cracks—outperforming pure nickel types on durability and mechanical integrity. -
Robust current capacity
Thanks to the iron-jacketed nickel core, these electrodes handle higher currents with improved deposition rates.
