Miller RFCS-14 HD Heavy Duty Wired Foot Control – 14-Pin, 6m 

The Miller RFCS-14 HD is a heavy-duty wired foot pedal that gives TIG welders hands-free control of amperage and arc start/stop (contactor) on Miller power sources with a 14-pin remote socket. It has a wider, heavier base and a thicker 6m cord than a standard pedal, so it stays put on the workshop floor and handles daily fabrication use.

Foot controls often fail because they slide around, tip over, or the cord gets damaged where it leaves the pedal. The RFCS-14 HD's larger base and heavier cord give it more stability and a longer service life than a standard pedal. The cord can also be rerouted to exit the front, back or either side of the pedal. You can set it up to suit a left- or right-side bench layout, or angle it away from spatter and foot traffic. 

Changing the cord exit is a simple job. You turn the pedal over, take off the bottom plate, move the cord to the slot you want, slide the strain relief into place and screw it back down. 

For TIG work, the pedal lets you ramp current up and down during the weld, fill craters as you finish, and control heat input on thin or heat-sensitive material, all without taking your hands off the torch and filler rod. A heel rest keeps your foot in a consistent position, which helps with comfort on long runs.

Compatibility

This pedal suits Miller solid-state power sources with a 14-pin receptacle built after serial number JK674521. Older Miller machines that don't have a 14-pin socket won't accept it. Miller specifically lists the Econotig and the original Syncrowave 250, 350, 351 and 500 as not compatible.

Common Miller TIG machines in the current Australian range include the Dynasty, Syncrowave and Maxstar series.

Does the Miller RFCS-14 HD come with the plug fitted?
Yes. It ships with the 6m cord and 14-pin plug already fitted, so it's ready to connect to the machine.

What is the difference between the RFCS-14 and the RFCS-14 HD?
The HD version has a larger, heavier base and a thicker cord. It's more stable underfoot and holds up better in production and fabrication environments.

Will this foot pedal work on my Miller TIG welder?
It works if your machine has a 14-pin remote receptacle and was built after serial JK674521. Check the front or rear panel for a round 14-pin socket, or call QWS with your model and serial number.

Can I change which side the cable comes out of the foot pedal?
Yes. The cord can be moved to exit the front, back or either side by removing the bottom plate and relocating it. You don't need any special tools.

Is MR301589 the same as Miller 194744?
Yes. 301589 is the current part number and directly replaces the earlier 194744 RFCS-14 HD.
