Product Description

The SM70E S6 Mild Steel MIG Wire (1.0mm, 300kg Ball Pack) is a solid, copper-coated welding wire designed for gas metal arc welding (GMAW/MIG) of carbon steel. Formulated with higher levels of manganese and silicon deoxidizers, this wire produces clean, high-quality welds even on materials with light rust, mill scale, or surface contamination — making it a versatile choice for fabrication, construction, automotive repair, shipbuilding, and general steel manufacturing applications.

The 300kg Ball Pack format is purpose-built for continuous, large-scale production environments. Its bulk packaging significantly reduces spool-change frequency, minimizes production downtime, and lowers overall welding costs — making it the preferred choice for heavy-duty industrial welding shops, structural steel fabricators, and high-throughput manufacturing lines.

Features & Benefits

  • Smooth, Stable Arc Performance – Consistent wire feeding with minimal spatter for cleaner welds and less post-weld cleanup
  • High Deposition Efficiency – Optimized for productivity in continuous welding operations
  • Excellent Weld Bead Appearance – Produces smooth, uniform bead profiles with good wetting action
  • Versatile Shielding Gas Compatibility – Suitable for use with CO2 or Argon/CO2 (75/25) gas mixtures
  • Copper Coating – Improves electrical conductivity, reduces contact tip wear, and provides corrosion resistance during storage
  • Bulk 300kg Ball Pack – Reduces changeover downtime, ideal for robotic and semi-automatic welding systems
  • Reliable Mechanical Properties – Delivers strong, ductile welds suitable for structural applications

Applications

  • Structural steel fabrication
  • Automotive body and chassis repair
  • Shipbuilding and heavy equipment manufacturing
  • Pipeline and pressure vessel welding
  • General mild steel fabrication and maintenance
  • Robotic and automated MIG welding systems

Why Choose This MIG Wire?

Whether you're running a high-output fabrication shop or an automated robotic welding cell, this SM70E S6 mild steel MIG wire delivers the consistency, strength, and cost-efficiency needed for demanding industrial welding tasks. The 300kg Ball Pack minimizes interruptions to your workflow, while the reliable S6-grade composition ensures strong, defect-free welds batch after batch.

Characteristics on Usage

  • Hyundai SM-70 Mig Wire is a solid wire designed for all position welding by short-circuiting type transfer. As the deposition efficiency is high and penetration is deep, highly efficient welding can be performed.

Applications

  • Butt and fillet welding of steel structures such as vehicles, machinery and bridges.

Notes on Usage

  • Use welding grade CO2/Argon+15~25% CO2
  • Flow quantity of shielding gas should be 25 /min. approximately.
  • Use wind screen against wind.
  • Keep distance between tip and base metal 6~15mm for less than 250A, and 15~25mm for more than 250A of welding current.
