Usage & Handling Tips

  • Preheat the base metal above 200°C (392°F) when welding hardenable high-alloy or tool steels to help prevent cracking.
  • Use the lowest practical welding current and keep arc length short for best results.
  • Bake electrodes at 300–350°C (572–662°F) for approximately 60 minutes before use to remove moisture and ensure optimal weld quality.
