ABRASOCORD 700 Hardfacing Electrode 4.0mm | Premium Wear-Resistant Stick Welding Rod
Product Overview
The Abrasocord 700 Hardfacing Electrode (4.0mm) is a high-performance, wear-resistant stick welding electrode engineered for demanding hardfacing and hardsurfacing applications. This smooth-running AC/DC electrode deposits an air-hardening martensitic chromium-molybdenum-vanadium (Cr-Mo-V) steel alloy — one of the hardest steel alloys available on the market — delivering exceptional resistance to abrasive wear in low-to-moderate impact environments where it deposits a wear-resistant, high-carbon martensitic steel layer suited to a wide range of general hard surfacing work.
Key Features & Benefits
- Superior Hardness — Delivers a typical single-layer hardness of 53–56 HRc, rising to 55–60 HRc with multi-layer deposits, ensuring long-lasting protection against surface wear.
- Excellent Abrasion Resistance — Formulated to withstand continuous abrasive contact, extending the service life of high-wear components.
- Smooth, Stable Arc — Runs smoothly on both AC and DC power sources for consistent, easy-to-control deposits.
- Crack & Relief-Check Free — Produces deposits free from relief checks, even under repeated stress.
- Fatigue & Flex Resistant — Well suited to components subject to fatigue or flexing during service.
- Forgeable Deposit — The hardened alloy can be readily hot forged when reshaping is required.
