LINCOLNWELD 780 - FLUX (22.7KG/BAG)

by Lincoln
Part No: BRE00780S25

LINCOLNWELD 780 Submerged Arc Welding Flux — 22.7kg (50lb) Bag

The LINCOLNWELD 780 is a premium, industry-standard active flux engineered for submerged arc welding (SAW) applications. Trusted by fabricators and structural welders worldwide, this bonded flux is designed with good resistance to moisture contamination, helping reduce porosity and deliver consistently clean, sound welds.

Key Features

  • Fast-freezing slag system that promotes easy slag removal and minimizes spilling, even on circumferential (pipe) welds
  • Delivers excellent bead shape and superior slag detachability for clean, efficient production welding
  • Good resistance to moisture pickup, reducing the risk of weld porosity in shop and field conditions
  • Well suited to single-pass welding on mild steel and flat fillet welds run with a constant-voltage power source
  • When paired with Lincolnweld L-61 wire, it is recommended for welding applications of up to three passes
  • Classified under EN ISO 14174 as S A AB 1 and S A AR 1

Packaging Supplied in a convenient 22.7kg (50lb) bag — ideal for job sites and fabrication shops needing reliable, ready-to-use flux without the bulk of drum packaging.

Typical Applications

  • Structural steel fabrication
  • Pipe and tank fabrication (circumferential welding)
  • General mild steel plate welding
  • Single- to three-pass submerged arc welding procedures

Why Choose Lincolnweld 780 Flux? As one of the most widely specified active SAW fluxes in the welding industry, Lincolnweld 780 offers the consistency, arc stability, and slag performance fabricators rely on for high-quality, repeatable welds — making it a go-to choice for structural, pressure vessel, and general steel fabrication work.
