The PFERD ALUMASTER HSD-R 50 is a 49mm high-performance milling disc designed specifically for aluminium, mounted on a standard angle grinder (10mm mount) or, with the matching arbor, on straight grinders and flexible shaft machines. Instead of grinding aluminium away as fine dust, the ALUMASTER mills it off in chips using replaceable tungsten carbide cutting inserts — which means no hazardous, explosive aluminium dust, no extraction system, and an exceptionally high stock removal rate. The HSD-R version is built for radial applications such as weld seam work, fillet welds, root seam processing and surface milling.

For fabricators, the practical difference is simple: you get the removal rate of an aggressive abrasive without the dust risk, the clogging, or the consumable burn-through.
