Binzel MB EVO PRO 25 MIG Torch – 3m, Air-Cooled

The Binzel MB EVO PRO 25 is a 230 amp air-cooled MIG/MAG torch with a Euro (KZ-2) central connector, sitting between the light-duty MB 15 and the heavy-duty MB 36 in the EVO PRO range. It's rated at 230A on CO2 and 200A on mixed gases at a 60% duty cycle, running 0.8–1.2mm wire, with technical data stated to EN 60974-7. This 3m version (part no. 004.0671.1) is the everyday choice for general fabrication, maintenance and repair work on 200-class single-phase machines.

If you're running a 180–250A machine, the MB 25 is usually the right match. The MB 15 tops out at 180A and won't take 1.2mm wire, while the MB 36 is more torch than a 200A machine needs — heavier in the hand and more expensive to consumable. The 25 gives you 1.2mm capability and headroom to the top of your machine's range without the extra bulk.

The EVO PRO upgrade is about weight and handling. Binzel's BIKOX® LW cable assembly is up to 34% lighter than the conventional cable, and the two-component handle has a tapered profile, repositioned trigger and ball-joint cable support so the torch stays balanced overhead and out of position. The internal geometry keeps the grip cooler under load without giving up mechanical strength, and there's more room inside the handle for servicing than the previous generation.

It runs the proven MB 25 wear parts, so if you already stock them nothing changes.

Frequently asked questions

What amperage is the Binzel MB EVO PRO 25 rated to?
230A with CO2 and 200A with mixed shielding gases, both at a 60% duty cycle.

What size machine suits an MB 25 torch?
It's a good fit for machines in the 180–250A range. If your machine runs above that, or you're welding heavy sections all day, step up to the MB 36 (320A). If you're only running 0.6–1.0mm wire on a small single-phase unit, the MB 15 (180A) will do.

What's the difference between the MB 25 and MB EVO PRO 25?
Same current class and same wear parts. The EVO PRO adds the lighter BIKOX® LW cable (up to 34% weight reduction), a redesigned ergonomic handle and trigger, and a cooler-running grip.

Will it fit my welder?
It has a standard Euro connection, so it fits most Euro-style MIG machines and wire feeders, including Kemppi, Fronius, UNIMIG, CIGWELD, WIA and Lincoln units with a Euro outlet.

What wire sizes can I run?
0.8mm to 1.2mm. Match the contact tip and liner to your wire size and type — steel liner for solid steel wire, PA/Teflon liner for aluminium and stainless.

Do MB 36 consumables fit the MB 25?
No. The MB 25 uses M6 contact tips and its own nozzle sizes, while the MB 36 uses a larger M8 tip and bigger nozzles. Order MB 25 parts specifically.

Should I choose the 3m, 4m or 5m?
3m feeds best and is the pick for bench and bay work or soft wire. Go to 4m if you need to move around a job, 5m only if you genuinely need the reach.

Is this torch water-cooled?
No, it's air-cooled (gas-cooled). Binzel makes liquid-cooled models in the EVO PRO range from 325A up if you need one.

Which air-cooled EVO PRO torch do I need?
