The 3M™ Speedglas™ Heavy-Duty Respiratory Welding Helmet G5-01 also offers the largest lens viewing area ever that includes a clear grinding visor which is over 15% larger. Although the lens has gotten larger the design becomes slimmer, providing welders more narrow profile for tight spaces. That’s not all! With its new adjustable airflow, it gives you more control over your comfort & the innovative G5-01 helmet duct system lets you direct the airflow to either your face your visor or a combination of both! You can even adjust the amount of air coming from the top outlet vs. the two side outlets, or choose a blend of both. All airflow adjustments can be made while you’re wearing the helmet, maintaining your eye, face and respiratory protection.
There’s more to the G5-01 and we are just getting started! With the G5-01’s Flip-up lens you are always protected. Just flip up the lens to reveal the 170 x 104mm clear visor, giving you perfect vision without the need to remove your eye and face protection or break the positive pressure respiratory seal. Not just that, if you’ll be doing non-welding applications and you are uncomfortable with the flip-up lens you can completely remove it! Sweet! All you have to do is unscrew the two dials to completely remove the welding visor and re-attach the dials again. This now reduces the helmet weight by over 35%...
